Telegram
- Bot token, issued by @BotFather.
- Admin chat id, the account the bot messages.
Both come from Telegram rather than from Kustos, and getting them is an eight-step errand involving two different bots. Step by step, with what to do when nothing arrives →
Approving a /request in Telegram adds it straight to Sonarr/Radarr — the approval is a real action, not an acknowledgement.
Discord / webhook
A webhook URL per channel.
What both share
- The instance name from General appears on every message, so several Kustos installs posting to one channel stay tellable apart.
- Secrets are masked on read. A saved token comes back as a masked value; if you save the form without touching it, the masked value means "unchanged" and the real token is kept. This is why you cannot read a token back out of the UI once saved — that is deliberate.
