MDBList
What it is for. Ratings. The IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic numbers that appear in your ratings overlays come through MDBList, and so do the rating-based content operations in Library Operations.
Cost. Free tier, with a daily request limit that is generous for a home library. Paid tiers raise the limit.
First, make a free account at mdblist.com. It signs you in with an existing Trakt account rather than making you pick a new password, so do Trakt first if you have neither. Once you are signed in:
- Open your account menu at the top right and choose Preferences.

- Open the API Access section and press Generate API Key.

- Copy the key it generates.
- In Kustos, Connections → MDBList, paste it, and press Save.
What works without it. The TMDB percentage badge is separate and comes straight from Plex, so it keeps working with no MDBList key. Episode ratings also read IMDb and TMDB values off Plex directly. It is the critics' numbers that need this key.
One content operation does not need it either. In Library Operations, the Common Sense source reads the rating off the Plex item itself, so you can run content ratings with no MDBList key at all.
