Watch history, merged from Plex, Tautulli, Trakt and Simkl, with every row saying which source saw it.

One card per person in your Plex household (Home users, managed users, shared friends), plus what Kustos knows about them.

  • Watch history across Plex, Tautulli, Trakt and Simkl.
  • Linking — Trakt and Simkl accounts, and public Trakt profiles.
  • Tokens. Reading (history, cleanup protection, who-watched-what) needs no token. Writing as someone — their watchlist into requests, or pushing history back into Plex — needs their own Plex token. Controls that need a token they don't have are shown greyed with the reason, never hidden.
  • Absorb folds a replaced account's history into the current one. An account can only be absorbed once.
  • Per-user tags — the import tag applied to their requests, plus the dropped and rewatch tags that tell cleanup to ignore or protect a title for that person.
  • Push — per linked account, whether Kustos writes this person's plays to that service.
  • Rename — changes only what Kustos calls them; history, tags and rules are unaffected.

What needs their token, and what does not

This is the rule behind every greyed-out control on the screen, and it is worth learning once rather than meeting it eight times:

Needs their Plex token?
Watch history, who watched whatNo — Kustos reads this from your own server
Cleanup protection based on their playsNo
Their watchlist turning into requestsYes — Kustos is acting as them
Pushing history back into Plex as themYes
Writing to their Trakt or SimklTheir own link, not a Plex token

Reading is free; writing as somebody is not. A control that needs a token they have not given is shown greyed with the reason attached, never hidden — so the answer to "why can't I do this" is on the screen rather than in the docs. Send them an invite link and it lights up.

The per-person controls

ControlWhat it doesWatch out
Linked accountsTheir Trakt or Simkl account, or a public Trakt profileA public profile is read-only — you can see the list, you cannot write to it. That is Trakt's rule, not Kustos's
New titles on this watchlistIgnore / Ask me first / Add automaticallyAdd automatically sends new titles straight to Sonarr/Radarr. See Watchlists for how this differs from the per-service mode
Per-service watchlist modeUntouched / Append / Sync, one per serviceSync removes titles from their watchlist. The only setting here that deletes somebody else's data
Push (per linked account)Whether Kustos writes this person's plays to that service
Live scrobbling (household-wide, in Scrobbling conflicts)Tells Trakt what is being watched as it is watched — the "now playing" card. One switch for the whole house, not per person. The same panel blocks Kustos from writing to a service another tool already records plays toOff by default, deliberately: it writes to a service outside Kustos every single time something plays
Import tagThe tag put on requests they make
Dropped / rewatch tagsTell cleanup to ignore, or to protect, a title for that person
AbsorbFolds a replaced account's history into the current oneOnce only. An account cannot be absorbed twice
RenameChanges what Kustos calls themNothing else moves — history, tags and rules are untouched
