Making Plex title cards automatically

The question: how do I get title cards on my episodes without making thousands of them by hand?

What Kustos does

  • Download them where somebody has already made them. ThePosterDB and MediUX, with your own ranked list of uploaders deciding who wins a title two of them cover. See Automate Artwork.
  • Draw the rest from your own template. Anything with no source art gets a card generated from a template you designed, nightly. A finished card is never re-texted and existing cards are left alone.
  • Find the show's wordmark for you. Logos are fetched and ranked — preferred language first, then colour, then shape — so a template that draws a logo is not a template you have to feed one. See Auto-Create: logos.
  • Keep what you chose. Art you applied by hand is never replaced by a scheduled job, and your own folder assets beat generated art.

Where Kustos does not help. It does not create a visual identity for you. You design the template — the layout, the fonts, the colours — and Kustos fills it for every episode. The design work is yours; the ten thousand repetitions are not. See Poster Studio.
